I mean not to the towel rail but to the bumper itself? I was thinking with brackets so the bottom of the plate is near level to the bottom of the bumper.

I don't like how the higher method covers the lower portion of the V in the nose. But I am curious what it would look like if anyone has photos. Thanks

Just found one in the gallery. I need a side view to see if it looks like it sticks out too much now.

Found this with a quick search. I'm not familiar with Splits so I'm not sure if those holes are already there or if you have to drill them..
