most places sell the same stuff....just find a good vendor and build a customer relationship with them.
ghia specific stuff - house of ghia and karmann ghia parts and restoration. General type 1 stuff that crosses platforms between bugs and ghias - wolfsburg west. _________________ 67 bug x3

body parts you want to source original parts as most as you can because nothing will fit better be better made or last longer.. this is all body parts from fenders to frame.. floor pans are the exception as most are pretty well screwed.. engine parts.. there are several venders on samba with first class reputations.. like aircooled.net guy that is on here almost everyday helping people and selling stuff.. he has great advice and if he can not help you or get what you need.. he knows someone that can..
Peace out and enjoy it.. |

Try to purchase original German parts where ever possible, even if they cost more. Used German parts are often the best answer. How about some pictures! _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

When I was starting out, I found the Wolfsburg West catalog to be a great help. I would look at every page that pertained to my Beetle, and looked at every part and checked to see that I had it on my car. My one complaint with WW was that on small orders, their shipping charge often exceeded the cost of the items.
Go to www.wolfsburgwest.com and you can order the catalog from their website. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society

Think not just of vendors, but also the Samba classifieds. |

That is 100% good advice ! USE THE CLASSIFIEDS
Very quick turnaround and price's
I needed a 86 water cooling expansion bottle...
Boom.. just like that
my bottle was Bottle mounted
And mow I'm negotiating a package deal for all of the remaining parts I need
I just the mechanic; so, I wan't to get out of bed with the lady as quick as I can.
So here how I do it
put what you need out there for a buck and let it all roll in |

If you're looking to buy online, I made a video on youtube about VW parts websites and my opinions on some of them. I normally buy from Wolfsburg West and MTMFG.

Buy from the vendors that support our hobby.
West Coast Metric
Wolfsburg West
Airhead parts
Bus Depot
Bustoration
GoWesty
etc.
Your local FLAPS does not support our hobby. |

Avoid Chinese made parts, almost always garbage. I have thrown out most of the Chinese made parts I bought because they are not even close to fitting, and look terrible. |
