Nah. Stupid is stupid. Lack of knowledge is ignorance.

The intrinsic difference is that ignorance simply implies lack of awareness about something, while stupidity denotes the inability of a person to understand something due to insufficient intelligence, thus leading to the misinterpretation of a fact.

Sure the bulbs are fine? When I'm not sure I just swap left to right to disqualify bulbs from the problem equation.

Yup, I swapped them around and they worked. How does one clean the contacts (I assume you mean in the housing?) Contact cleaner spray? And then some non-conductive grease to preserve it all?

I believe there is a contact cleaner spray out there, not sure.

If me I'd use brake cleaner but haven't for this.

Yes on dielectric grease.

Vaseline works great for that too.
Rubbing alcohol and a pencil eraser will clean them up too.
Or WD-40....

What does it mean if I start pulling off in first gear, as I'm releasing the clutch I sense very little power. I push clutch in, take it out of first, put back in first, then it pulls off no problem.

This works great for cleaning tarnish on electrical contacts.
It's basically a bunch of fiberglass strands sticking out the end of the pen and you can adjust the length of them.

My guess is a minor shift linkage issue is sometimes causing you to find 3rd gear instead of 1st.

One of the largest car forums on the Internet has the following on-going thread, started back in 2005: "Go ahead...ask those car questions you were always afraid to ask...", and it's currently 261 pages long. Shocked Wink

P.S. You can search any topic, including this one, once you open it. At the top left corner, next to the "post reply" button, is a search box that says "search this topic". Comes in handy now and then. Wink

The part that strikes me as hateworthy is how anything you touch to repair just automatically falls apart. Hence, you don't repair, you replace. With something from a gray/black interior. The brown plastic stuff just decays all on its' own.

I'm too lazy to tell you how utterly ridiculous that sounds.

Here's question that does NOT deserve its own thread.

Around here (Los Angeles county) ARCO gas cost about 20 to 30 cents a gallon less than other brands. You have to pay cash which is a minor inconvenience. But is there any difference in quality? Do you get what you pay for or is it all the same?

I use 91 octane in my tiico on the advice of the previous owner.

By demanding cash only, they don't pay usage fees for the card machine.
Ergo, cheaper gas.

That's good for 2% or about 6 cents per gallon. Less actually, because the cost of handling cash is not zero.

Th real reason is because it's extracted from the harvested eyelashes of baby harp seals. But the price is never forgotten...
