Thank you! They have to cut corners on these things somehow, and the wood finish was the place. The chrome is pretty good all things considered.

Classy roof rack with leather straps! Wrap them in 18" wide plastic wrap you can buy at UPS & ship them USPS or Greyhound.

We sell/ship racks & fenders etc. Greyhound won't accept anything with sharp edges/corners because they don't want anything scratching up passengers luggage. We buy rolls of 18" wide plastic wrap from UPS to double wrap big items for shipping. We sometimes have to tape squares of cardboard over sharp/point corners before the double plastic wrap of the whole object.
