Thank you! They have to cut corners on these things somehow, and the wood finish was the place. The chrome is pretty good all things considered.

Thanks Mike! I'm confused about the plastic and shipping thing though.
I had a chance to use the straps on a road trip last week and got some great shots.

We sell/ship racks & fenders etc. Greyhound won't accept anything with sharp edges/corners because they don't want anything scratching up passengers luggage. We buy rolls of 18" wide plastic wrap from UPS to double wrap big items for shipping.
