Still at German in OCC waiting to get running. Has a later FI engine I need to learn. Since driving a 71 for 11 years as my DD ten years ago, I've had two bugs. My soul is ready to be in a bus again. It's my eighth ACVW. Four bugs, four busses.
I did the M code thing, imported to Boston, seven seater, original paint. Many folks in the Colorado Springs area know this bus. I plan to make it a day camper.

I feel whole again with a bus. Anyone want to buy a 65 bug?

Nice!, don't let them talk you out of the FI and install a carb, once the initial pain is done it's good for another 40 years of neglect.

Welcome back to the bus madness! Wink

Another strong vote to not remove the fuel injection. Busdaddy and others on this site can help you get er figured out.

Now this was a pain in the ass. New rubber from WCM. We'll see how it goes into the bus.

But not before surface window channel rust repair.

Next will be the new (old) jalousie window with WCM seal. Got an inner seal on eBay from England. I'll post how that goes.

This isn't going to be a show vehicle but I've got the time to do things well.

Thanks, wcfvw69. From all the thoughtful input from Samba members, the FI is staying.

No doubt you'll be hearing from me in the future about it!

Thanks, Tcash, I follow your advice like a moth to a flame. I'm not rebuilding the window, just installing it. I did it on my 71, but there I just used self tappers to secure it. Doing it better this time.

I expected the oil drain bolt post from you first. Shocked But please, keep advise coming.
