Props for taking on such a massive project!
How's the condition of the frame, besides being twisted?
I'm glad it fell into the hands of the right persons. _________________ My 1958 PGSG project topic |

Haha!! Glad you noticed that. Ive been in contact with the family. The name later changed to Clauser and Sons Office Supply. The Father died and left it to his sons. Then all 3 sons died. Its no longer a business and I dont believe all the service vehicles were buses. Id like to know for sure! _________________ Leroux's Autowerks “like us on fb”

Man hats off to you. I could see from the first pics you had your work cut out for you but you seem to have it handled no prob and so far you're breezing through it. She's doing a great job on the logo restoration too. Look forward to seeing more of the pumpkin 🎃 _________________ GFK

Those crazy European's have saved some really scary rusty piles of junk, barn door buses. When I saw your more detailed pictures of the A pillar and other spots, I said to myself "oh hell no".
As Skills stated, you clearly have the time, talent and patience to get this bus back on the road. Kudos to you for taking on the massive project.
I'm looking forward to the updates. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

Well done! You're a talented and seemingly fearless metal worker.
Keep on keeping on... you've got it in you (obviously) and are a real inspiration to others who may be on the fence with their own neat finds. <Insert hat tipping image here!!> |

Pretty amazing. Neat how the trade parts were what you needed and delivered to the Bus, I know the feeling. _________________ "I set sail for the new world, then I burned down the mast.... It wasn't the first time, and I know it wont be the last..." Bloodkin

Its all solid except for a small part under the beam. I have beam sections ill be grafting in. Right now im working on a method of getting the frame straight before i go cutting. Ive got a solid idea on how to get it right.

With the progress you've made, any chance you'll have it driving in time for Halloween?
That's almost mandatory given the color scheme |

I've seen only a handful of builds that incorporate the logos like that. It's unique to see and very well done. The Bob Hammond bus was the only other one I can recall where they at least posted the process. Very very cool.
I feel like you should skin the lower door if you're going that intense with the original metal/logos. Seems odd to just slap a new one one there with all the work you did preserving the roof. Either way, excellent build thread. |

Be honest, how many of you guys saw those first few pics and thought, rest in peace!
It is inspiring to see this one being brought back, great work! It also gives hope to those of us with "lesser" projects in the garage. _________________ "If you don't do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do." -Warren Miller |

Im skinning the rear cargo and replacing the front cargo and passenger door. Might even replace the drivers door too, keep it for garage art. Ive got a prefect rust free set of front doors ive been holding onto for a long time.

Dude, I'm so, so happy to see this thing back on the road. I picked some parts off of it way back when, maybe 6 years ago. Got stung several times getting the wiper assembly! And I thought long and hard about the bus and wanted to bring it back but had just finished one and wanted a break. Here it is in it's native habitat, the back 40 at Gundrum's
I know the guy that pulled all of the busses out of there, and can only imagine what a huge task it mustve been. Every time I went there stuff was either frozen into the ground, or you just sunk up to your knee, and all overgrown.
Nice work so far, it was worth saving.
