Remarkable in so many ways. Those before-and-after shots look more like after-and-before!
My non-VW peeps won't believe this crazy sheet. |

Many people DID just let it rot lol. This bus is a perfect one of. Otherwise it might not of been so lucky. Cheers bro! _________________ Leroux's Autowerks “like us on fb”

Sometimes when I come into my shop in the morning, I myself cannot believe what it looks like. I just enjoy my morning coffee checking it out almost everyday and feel grateful for what I was able to do with it and that its mine.
Cheers! _________________ Leroux's Autowerks “like us on fb”

It is one amazing bring-back of a bus. Wish I could get a Canon BC-20 from you that wasn't dried up for my old Apple printer. |

I got my right side rear corner cut out and reconstructed the hatch pillar. I did what I thought was the most time consuming welding first. But I spent all day Sunday redoing this thing. Someone gave me a cheapo rear corner and it took extra material and time to make it werk, but it did werk. Rear corners are a lot of werk. I set the battery tray in, but I’ve got fix some engine bay metal before I can weld that in. Typical.. corners done tho.

Did a quick fix on the rear hatch with a donor I cut from a early bay last year. The rear hatch is not in the greatest shape. I did what I could to make it decent for this bus.

I had to look this up as I was unsure what a split bracket looks like. Its early bay. They’ll work tho. My rear bumper is early bay too. _________________ Leroux's Autowerks “like us on fb”

I fairly certain you could make anything work after what you went through to bring this ol' pumpkin back to life. Cool that you also want to preserve the heritage through vintage equipment too. Thanks brodiggity! I’m glad everything’s missing off this bus and nothing original. Ive played that game before waiting for the original part you need to pop up in the classifieds. It’s stressful. But with this bus... whatever 😎 Totally chill. _________________ Leroux's Autowerks “like us on fb”

Started in on the left corner. It had more rust then the right once I got the skin off. I had a small donor section from a bay I used in the middle. The lower part I made by hand. Turned out pretty damn good if you ask me. I’m out of Roloc disc so the welds are not totally cleaned up. But you know what I’m saying!!! This is the last of the body welding. I can’t tell ya how good of a moment this is for me. I got a long ways to go, but I’m sure glad the welding is almost done.
Check out the ass of this thing 😍
