I recently purchased a VW Dune Buggy. It is a great leaker. Looking for pros and cons for spring loaded push rod tubes. Which brand and why. Best parts supplier to deal with.
Possibly a 1967 dual port 1600.

If you need spring loaded push rod tubes to replace the old ones without removing the heads then get the JayCee tubes. They are the only ones that won't leak. The rest are junk. Several places sell them and they are all the same price.
If your rebuilding a engine than use the stock or stainless steel push rod tubes. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

I just have a leaker so I want to replace the tubes for now. There may be a rebuild in the future but I'm not planning on it currently. Thanks for the reply. |

I'm using Scat spring loaded pushrod tubes - no leaks so far (knock on wood), and were easy to install while the engine was on the stand. Aircooled.net is great.
