So against all advise and common sense I decided to take my 1965 Bug to get the body work done at Maya Tapiceria or what it will soon be called Classic Wagens in Tijuana Mexico. We agreed on a price and a 4 month timeframe for them to paint and install the interior. This clown Miguel Adan Flores is a real piece of work, he'll say and promise anything to get you in the door. I provided all the paint, materials (Body filler, clear coat, paint) as well as the complete interior kit. So began the nightmare, 10 months later after visiting the shop occasionally to see it collecting dust month after month, I had enough. I started to pressure him get it finished. When I set a pick up date, he made me wait 5 hours because he had only begun to finish it the night before. He gave me back my Bug with thin and cracked paint from all the contaminants in his paint booths, overglued and ripped carpet, exposed un-sanded body filler still on the car. On top of that this thief Miguel, refuses to return or reimburse me for the over $600 worth of original parts. Plus he used the expensive body filler and clear coat I brought for my car on other cars, not mine. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THESE CROOKS.
