First off, this is not my picture. It belongs to jimhens714 but it has the holes that I am questioning. I found the picture doing a google search and then here. Can someone tell me what the 2 holes are for. There is one on each side.

Do you plug these with something in particular before carpet goes in? |

Some water proof chaulking would work, I like the urathane products, but even silicone could be used you may wish to back up the chaulking with tape until it cures so it wont run out.

That's the only place on my car that I used silicone sealant. Then I covered it with sound deadening before the carpet went down. _________________ I have learned over the years.

This panel is 100% a replacement part, not an original.
The original has been cut and the horizontal welding line is clearly visible.
Anyway, also my original panel has those holes.
I supposed they are there to clip a sort of belt to fix luggage. |

Not ad a convertible , thats double metal .
