I've watched this a few times over the past few days and today I just noticed the tan square back with his rear hatch door open up on the hill in the back ground behind the bug.
So ....... who's bug and squareback do those belong to?. |
the blue bug belongs to Jahnai Pearson from the SF Bay area |
Well, if they are not on here, tell them they have a nice bug. _________________ Prosit!

As a Chevy truck and a type 3 owner, I'm glad to see GM incorporated my 2 vehicles into 1 ad. While my Square isn't Orange, I do have 1. My Chevy truck is a 2006 full size. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Maybe more than a few boomers had early sexual escapades in a VW. This VW commercial shows a couple doin' it in a VW, then a baby comes along so they need to trade in for a larger VW. And so on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9LRpkWmvhg |
Yes I drove my shaggin wagen and if it could talk. A 64 camper. |
Somehow I can see a couple of posters in this thread rocking one of these iconic 70's shaggin wagons...

Nope, back seat of a 70 Chevy Nova. I couldn't afford a VW back then. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I wonder how quickly we’d all change our tune if VW started actually paying genuine attention to the vintage crowd instead of just ass raping it for advertising it’s newest shitbox/disaster vehicle.
We laugh at moustache man’s stupid bubble window Dodge van, but reality is that dude can still (in 2017) order an original Mopar starter for that thing. And he’s prolly still stiffing that hot blonde. So in reality he wins... even with his monkey arm. |

What is the last part VW made for any ACVW? Or even assisted in doing? Any tech help? Any support of the survivors on the road? Any recognition i the way of keeping the vintage going??? I'm not talking Dealers either - but VW Corporate?
Its commercials like this that are sad to see because it's a fake, false pretense to how VW treats us. _________________

It’s nice to watch though even if it is fake sentiment. In reality I support them just as much as they support me and my air cooled, so we are even I suppose I’m old enough to have known guys that worked for VW dealer back in the day and as they told me when the decision came down it was swift all the tooling, manuals and much of the remaining stock went right in the garbage. It was a write off. Thankfully many of these guys were hoarders and saved this stuff so we’ve got some to look at now like this tooling book.
It’s dated 1953 |

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

My favorite Volkswagen ads are the Scirocco TDI ads from Top Gear.
"An Alfa Brera will vomit in it's face."
"Life's not so bad..."
The one with the leggy blonde chick in the black bikini and stilettos as a pallbearer and the exploding Jag at the end.
...and of course "Berlin to Warsaw in one tank." |
