air cleaner change?

has anyone (temporarily) replaced the oil bath air cleaner with some type of after market paper air cleaner?

I don't want to get rid of the OBC, just want to get something for general use...

Why change it?
The oil batch cleaners have been generally used on these cars for 40+ years.
Just like any other filter as long as you maintain and clean it, it will work great.

I've been running an old 1950's mushroom air filter on my 61 single cab for years with no issues, but really how long does it take to remove the fliter, clean it, maybe paint it and put the sticker on it, refill and install?
