Hey guys! This is my first and probably only post on the Samba- I have a 1976 beetle that I've been driving daily for three years now (thanks to my father and God) and we have been wondering if anyone knows where these seats could have come from? We got it completely original (other than that fuel injection) with many dealer installed options.
** and Yes! I check every beetle possible on the SE beetle site. I keep the seat covers so as not to damage them. If they are aftermarket seat covers then I wouldn't be surprise either.
They seem most similar to the Jean beetle seats in terms of texture of pattern(?)

They are aftermarket, the material, stitching and the piping is not up to what one would call VW level upholstery. It is not bad, just not original VW. |

Hope you are not planning on getting rid of that upholstery because it is not original,, may not be original but it is nice, Also all VW upholstery of that era was boring, period, even the plaid stuff in the buses was frightening. |

Nope! At this point they're too unique! _________________ I can gain the world and try to do everything I dream of. But then I’ll die, and what will I face then? Maybe what’s to come means so much more..... |
