Hey all y'all...

So, I've been running my "new" (rebuilt) trans for 2k+ miles with absolutely <NO> other problems,
but just recently found that my reverse lights can actually come on in <almost> every gear... Shocked

Granted - not all the time, but I can see the lights come on & off any time I move the shifter around.
FYI: manual trans, & yes, they go on & off in every gear, even neutral... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

So, could it be I just need to add a spacer to the reverse light switch? I currently have the old
switch in the "new" trans, but I have a new switch on hand to swap in if It seems worthwhile...

Opinions/experience, please...???

TIA... Cool

- Dave

PS: Apologies to any/everyone who's freaked out while driving behind me any time since August... Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

PPS: Yes, I've tried to contact my rebuilder, but no word yet...(customer service becoming a lost art...???) Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad Confused

I had that with my old original transaxle. I got a small sum knocked off the core refund because of (IIRC) a 'worn selector shaft' that apparently caused this problem while not seemingly adversely affecting anything else. My rebuilt transaxle (GTA) has no such problem.

I'd contact the rebuilder...
