pretty impressive. Besides the community - this place is essentially one of the best do it yourself sites on the web. The current value of buses, all the ads that are seen on TV with a Split or Bay in them - Ghia or Bug - it all comes back to The Samba and the folks who frequent here. Kudos to Everett. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Other than slumming around to see what folks are up to - do you have a bug or try to gleem all things upright?
Any of you that visit there? I do see busdaddy whoring about Usually in a thread I found in a search - with nothing to do about buses.

I actually had a rusty 68 beetle a few years ago, but sold it prior to buying my bus.. posting in the late model forum was usually a true waste of time. Ended up going to the engine/trans forum for most of my questions and research on it. Late model is run by stock nazis, newb one-posters, and a bunch of sissies who feel insecure about driving a 'fat chick' _________________ Robert in Memphis

Hey, hey, HEY!, just a minute now!, occasionally the "bus won't start" threads get boring and I stray, mostly just to reaffirm my observations on where the really smart people lurk (or what vehicles they choose to own)
Now and then there's the odd crossover part or system that actually gets better discussion in that bug forum (yeah...., I said that, it could happen), but mainly I stab at it because it's like a car crash you have to slow down and look at. And there is actually a small percentile of members who hang out there who really know what they are talking about, you have to visit now and then to learn to sort out the wheat from the chaff. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

The Baywindow forum has always been home for me here on the 'ol Samba. Good folks good fun and good info. Sure things get repetitious sometimes but that's true with any online forum. That is why I contribute here when I can. It's worth it plain and simple. A fact that can't be said for many places elsewhere on the interwebs. Besides I love all you sycophants! |

The Baywindow forum is my cave. I do own a bug but never go to the bug forums. I do spend a bunch of time scouring the Bay parts for elusive NOS bits. I lurk here more than ever before, there is hardly a .02 I could share that about a dozen other of ya'll have a dollar to give. I'm use FaceWaste for entertainment as a shit ton of people needing help veer from The Samba to seek validation for sub par hacks on the Bay pages. I love this place.
