Hi all,
Need some help to ID part #1 in this pic.
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/377280.gif
Is it a nose cone mount? Can't seem to find it with online retailers.
This is for a 1971 Bay Bus.
Thank you! |

That mount is on my 71 bus . The tranny mounts to it. Easy to find but it will be used.
It's the other mount that is hard to find, the one that bolts to the tranny, that bolts to that . |

Somewhere there is a post where someone reworked their mount by building a mold and pouring an appropriate polymer into it. Must have been about 5 years back. |

It's hearsay but I've heard that typical FLAPS grey RTV is functionally equivalent to rubber isolaters. _________________ Robert in Memphis
