I replaced gaskets on short axle trans due to leak. After install I noticed that there is about 1/16in gap between oil deflector washer and end cap. Other side is firmly up against cap. Is this going to be a problem?
thanks

If you're asking what I think you're asking, I had a similar question about a month ago after replacing an axle seal.
The answer I got was that when you torque the drum down, it all gets squeezed into place.
