Keep up the good work. I am glad to have these trivets.

Hi Kourt,
thanks for your comprehensive review of the burner insert.

Your suggestion to make an insert that has less material between the source of heat and the pot is a good one and was the idea behind making the flower version, that and I wanted something other than a VW logo.
Last night I sat and sketched out an insert that mimics a kitchen gas stove unit with fingers radiating from the perimeter to the center but with the center cut out.
I'll cut that one out tomorrow and see what it looks like.

Its funny how so many people want to wear these around their necks. I'm surprised there's been no drunken pictures posted with someone wearing one.

Ok peeps.
This is the last version of these things I’m gunna do.
I’ve been distracted by this fun project and neglecting my other projects.

I’m still selling them, going to post a bunch on eBay tomorrow to broaden my exposure.

Here’s an Un-branded version that I think I’ll use in my van as I kinda like the look.

I don’t expect to sell any of this style, they take much longer in the machine. I’d need $55 inc shipping (which, shipping, is ridiculously expensive by the way) to make it worth while.

What’d you guys think?

Tomorrow I’m starting to pull my motor out, the mercury is finally above zero.

Beer time.

Yeah. Thanks I think they’re my favorite.
For sure I’ll make some if anyone wants a set.
I do have stock ready to go but I couldn’t do them until Monday.

Easily he best version yet! I’d really like to say I’d buy a set and sell the VW grates online (or hope for a 50% buyback program Very Happy ).

yeah, I think I like those best of all. Kourt should review a set to see if they address his concerns (which I think had a lot of merit).

I know you said "last" version but those ones (in brass) with tiny VW logo in the centre would pretty cool.
Next winter. Very Happy

They jumped a little on the drive home, so maybe my tines are smaller than normal too.... Think

Overall, I'm happy with them, thank you!

Hey T.W.T.
you should’a got me to make you three!

I could at least send you an aluminum one.
I got one that is sorta not perfect. Its a bit odd on the backside, not visible when used. Should fit like the rest.
It’s yours if you pay the APO shipping.
Pm if you’re interested.
Love the three burner stove top.

So had a member ask me to make a wall hanging version.
Came up with this beauty.
11 1/2” dia looks great hanging in the garage.
Even drill a hole in the middle to mount a clock mechanism.
Make a pretty sweet garage wall clock.

Check it!
