I'm in too!
I have my SECOND set of Frank's work in my current van, but they don't fit right.
Would you consider doing a set ( or 5?) rotated 45°?

The angled option will be an additional 29.99 but for the next 30 minutes if you buy one, we will send another for free, just add S&H.

I have something similar for a couple of years now. Made in a discontinued VW logo with intentionally modified cogs.

Mine are made of 12-gauge 304 stainless steel to avoid noticeable warping. As you can see from a photo taken by someone who bought mine, they can get pretty hot. How well can aluminum handle this sort of heat?

Wow that's really cool. Love the red hot with the flames behind it.
The heat shouldn't be a problem but for sure I'll test them out when I get my thicker version done.
Love the idea of the modified logo, which, ironically, I was considering last night. Your modified version is identical to what I did for my rear view mirror fob.

It is the old early Nazi era logo.
Kdf.....
I doubt VW is protecting it.

What makes them not fit? Curious because I am worried about variations in the grill. If there is a specific part that blocks yours from fitting?
Mine fit over the four tines, same as all the others do, but the diameter is larger and sits snugly against the other grate tines that are surrounding the cut out area.

I'm at work right now but will take clear pictures of the back side tonight.

Yeah, my stove tines aren't at cardinal map points. My stove is an 'X' pattern.
So my nice new (second) set is turned 'half-left'....

Okay great to know.
Is this another version of stove or a stock variation of the westfalia cooker.
That's an easy fix though. I could put 8 notches in each one
4 @ 12-3-6 & 9:00
and
4 on the 45 degree angles.

So for sure there's enough interest that I'll put a formal for sale ad up when they're ready to go.
I'll continue to update this thread with developments as I tweak them a bit. Only when I'm confident these are going to be a good product will I start taking official orders.
Everyone that has expressed interest in this thread is in no way committed to these in anyway. When the for sale ad pops up. I'll take actual committed offers to purchase.

I really appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and interest, please continue to offer any comments or suggestions in this thread should you desire.

I'm pretty excited!

Owen

Remember, plan on 1 run, make it large, then apologize to Fritz and move on.

I’m in for a pair.

OP, you mention custom machined m/c parts, would you by any chance make a top triple-clamp for a ‘77 BMW airhead motorcycle?

Thanks.
