Hi all,

Just wondering with the conversion fellas around here. When your gas pedal is pushed down to the floor, is your throttle body 100% open? I noticed that mine is only about 80% open.. I have tried to adjust the cable with zero success.. any tips or mods at the front end?

Thanks

I use the burley motorsports throttle conversion kit on my ej22s. No problem getting full throttle, been verified a few times.

Some conversions do not open the throttle fully. Vanaru was like that and may still be. It is not the cable, it is the lack of full leverage/movement on the body that causes it.

Ah okay makes sense. I don't know if I want to drop 100$ on the bracket from Burley. I keep trying to adjust things and then my idle is a little off cause of too much tension.. may just have to let things lie.

If I remember correctly, you can simply change the attachment point of the cable at the pedal lever under the cabin floor. It's been a while since I did my last one but I don't remember having to weld it... just drill it further out. This does make the pedal feel a bit more stiff though.

Hogan,
When you take your foot off the gas, does the RPM stay high?
