Hi
I want to remove the headliner from above the front seats in my westy. I can't seem to find a simple description of the removal process. Does one just unscrew it and it falls out, or are there any tricks to it? It kind of looked like one would need to remove the rail above the sink/stove area in order to get that corner of the headliner out.
thanks! _________________ 1989 Bostig Syncro Westy |

I take it the wood Westy head liner? Unscrew all screws, visor and anything else and bend / flex to get it out of the J rails on the sides. _________________ Werksberg Products....Products that work!

in my Westy, you need to remove screws in the front of the "J rails" too, at least in the one over the sliding door, there is a metal bracket in the front under the rail, screws go from the railk, throught the baccket and the bedliner and into the metal to support the rail. Look at the Bentley too. _________________ 1991 Westy auto w/ Peloquin TBD

I don't know if it's wood or not, but I think so.
Does the rail over the sink/kitchen area need to be removed in order to remove the headliner, or is it really as simple as unscrewing everything and having it just drop down? _________________ 1989 Bostig Syncro Westy |

Just pulled mine out of my 84 westy. just remove the rear facing trim, all screws and the gutter above the sink. and then you can gently pry it out, one side at a time...gently. good luck! |

Well, my insulation was perfect, so all i am doing is scraping the chipped paint off my headliner and painting it. but lots of people have had mice living up there, so lots of cleaning and new insulation.
good luck on your project! |
