Hey guys, I just wanted to spread the word about my channel. It's all based around giving tutorials and top tips about fixing our great cars. I've made a few tutorials about door alignment and paint removal and stuff, but want to expand to things like heater channels and engines ans stuff. Here's my intro...

If you could let me know what you think it would be really appreciated! I made some social media for it too, I don't like social media, but I figured it would be a way to spread the channel around.

Once again, just wanted to spread the channel around and get some opinions on it. If the mods think this should be moved to off topic please move it. _________________ '67 Beetle L41

I watched 30 seconds of it. If you intend to show how to do stuff you need a camera operator (and a real camera) and a microphone. You can't work if you are holding your phone. And we need to hear you clearly which we won't when the phone isn't next to you.
Have you seen the video stickies at the top of the page? Yeah, most of them are pretty terrible. _________________ Brian

Yeah the intro and first few were bad. Check out this one...

I watched 50 seconds of that one. Seriously, get a camera operator, and a microphone. _________________ Brian

I'm glad you're young, cuz there's a lot of work to do on that Beetle! With that being said, good job on the video's. You are not, nor did you ever claim to be a professional videographer...I have seen a lot worse on You Tube. I give you much credit for wanting to share your experiences repairing your VW. Keep up the good work!!! and GO Cubbies !!! |

Lol, yeah there is a ton of work and I want to make videos for all of the repairs. I think I'll stick with my phone (and get a mic) or maybe get one of the cheaper Walmart cameras. Not looking to be super professional like you said. Thanks and yes... GO Cubbies! _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Q-Dog, what mic should I get if I'm continuing with my phone? Lapel style or shotgun? _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Always put the microphone close to or on the subject who is speaking, so a lapel mic would be best for what you are trying to do. But, I have no idea how you would attach such a mic to a phone. _________________ Brian

I've actually found a wireless lapel mic that connects to a phone so I think that's the one. _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Im not gonna shit on you, because, well, where's my Youtube channel?
I applaud your enthusiam and your desire to show what you are doing.
good job, and keep up the good work. Your vids will improve and certainly someone may learn something from you. At the very least, you might inspire someone else to work on a bug of their own. _________________ My Photobucket for my Herbie Project - http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/TK-439/library/Herbie?sort=3&page=1

Thanks Zundfolge and Slave1Pilot You guys described exactly what I'm trying to do, get people working on their cars and helping them know how to do it. _________________ '67 Beetle L41
