Are you absolutely certain when you reassembled the rockers yesterday that you put them back in the exact same spot? Is it possible you moved the sticky #4 intake rocker to the #4 exhaust position? _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

I was very careful to lay out the parts in order exactly as they came off the shaft, so I'm pretty certain the parts did not get switched. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society

Update: today I did my spring tune up. All valves were loose at the appropriate points in the adjustment process. Everything went smoothly. Hopefully taking apart the rocker arm assembly and replacing the broken wavy washer, and running it in over the last few months, fixed whatever was causing the valves to "stick". Thanks for all the advice. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society
