While my engine is out, I thought it would be a good time to clean, and paint the tin. I’m having difficulty getting the cylinder covers off. I’ve loosened the intake manifold, and removed the rubber sleeve on the manifold. Does the carb have to be loosened/removed to get the outside portion of the manifold off?
Any videos or tricks for this and the rest would be appreciated. BTW, this is an AH motor. |

You need to remove the fan shroud along with the generator/alternator. There's an engine case stud that holds the center section. _________________ Glenn

Does the alt come off with the fan shroud? As a single unit? |
