Looking for a specific roof rack. Anyone know who makes these or where to get them? They are very low profile and match the curve of the roof.

The rack in question sure looks custom or at least low-production to me. Further, it is heavily influenced by the racks seen on early 50s beetles in Europe (Sweden in particular). Jbugs (that empi thing) and any other American company couldn't dream of reselling anything as cool as that. _________________

Did you know there was a Samba forum dedicated to Assesories?

Yes Motor Boater I too would like too find this specific rack ! The aircooled.net one is low profile but has a more modern looking feel that's not real traditional looking. I saw one at BugJam in Florida but the owner was not around to ask.
There must be someone who has this rack. and I think he posted it in this forum because its for 1958-67's and has much more viewership that the accessory forum |

A member who's also in Tucson had made a very similar rack: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=408507
I think he may have sold his, I can't remember. Worth contacting him to find out. |

thats what I call a hardtop rack, as the soft top cars require a bit more clearence for the folded soft top than this hard top rack provides.

Try contacting the photographer, ask if he will forward your request for rack identification to the owner of the jack daniels bug with the rack.
That may get the exact answer you seek.
