Hi, can anyone help me identify what these circled bits are in the back seat of my German military 181.
I am having new seats made and it would be better if they weren't there but if they're something interesting I'd prefer to keep them rather than cut them out.
All they seem to do at the moment is damage my new paint work!
Cheers,
Ollie

They hold the seat backs up. Your seats would not latch if they were gone. |

Thanks Ron, do you mean the back of the seat base or the actual backs? My backs are held by sprung hooks on the back middle of the seat back. These parts don't appear to attach to anything.
Maybe my seat base is wrong? It is just a loose long piece of foam.

It keeps the bottom of the seat back from slipping forward when in the upright position. It will always scratch the paint there, but you can try some electrical tape to keep it from looking bad. _________________ '56 pan Dune Buggy since '69
