Rusted out!

I've been away from the VW world for a while. I can not for the life of me figure out what the name of the panel above the luggage shelf is? It's the sheet metal right below the window & separates the interior from the exterior. Mine is rusted through from the air vents into the rear interior. do they sell replacements? Where?

Personally would call it lower rear window sheet metal.

Try searching the classifieds on this web site for "Parting Out". Fell free to put up a "WTB" ad if you do not find what you want right off the bat.

Search term "luggage" in the general parts category. Found two in Oakland, Ca.
You may need the lower section and at the price quoted it can't hurt to a little extra metal.

Find an old junkyard or dead bug and cut out what you need. The German metal is better than anything out in the marketplace.
