The bracket lined up with the nut that was on the new pan. I think I got lucky. If it didn’t line up I would cut it off, flatten the area, weld 2 nuts on a rectangular plat and weld it to the pan.

The brackets require two bolts though. I only see one?

I feel it’s held in place good enough with just the one. If it starts to move I will add another one.

Nice pictures of narrowing front beam. I am interested what about tie rods ? do you have to shorten them as well?

Yes the tie rods have to be shortened. I already had a set that were. When shortening make sure you cut the end that has standard threads so you can tap it.

Staring to dig in to the body and finding all the rust issues. I think I will be building a rotisserie and getting it media blasted.

picked up some pretty solid rear quarters to repair the b pillars and inner structure. Also got a rear luggage tray and rear body mounts. Only had to make a few Little repairs. One thing I need is the measurement marked in red on the last picture. The end got cut off when the car was cut up. If anyone can get me this measurement I would really appreciate it.

Got the hood, deck lid, doors and fenders dustless blasted. I’m using por15 inside the doors and around the edges of the fenders, deck lid and hood. Next will be epoxy primer.

Found a original 4 screw ignition switch and a nos 2 fuse fuse box at a local show/swap meet. Cleaned up the ignition switch and a 4 fuse fuse box I already had.

Did some rust repair on the headlight section on the original bullet fenders. This one was the worst of the two. Just need to add the buckets.

Ya the rust gets between 2 pieces of metal that are lap welded together so it has to come apart to get it out or else it will come back later.
