So I recently noticed after shutting the Thing's ignition off, the left side exhaust pipe let's out exhaust smoke. not a ton but enough to notice. Last time I checked compression (about a month ago) it was even at all cylinders at 100 psi. The dual carbs seem to be running as they should, but I am no carb guru, timing is correct, recent fuel pump change. Thing gets parked on hill nose down. Oil level is good on flat surface. It never did this before.

Any ideas?

TIA

The temps are cooling off. How long have you owned and driven your Thing?

I bought Thing in 83 and drove it for years. Then Thing sat for about 15 years, maybe more. Got it roadworthy with used motor and a bunch of work. Been driving it around for a month. Never noticed the exhaust smoke after shut down until now. And I would have noticed something like this.

Thankx
