I got this one for free today, and as i i understand it's a 122 Industrial engine.
But The crankcase ventilation is pointed uppward?
And there is som "things" on the valve covers, what are the purpose if those?
And the crank locks odd on the flywheelside.
Can it be used in a car?

Back in 1975 I bought a complete split window bug. It had a painted gray, industrial engine and a bus-like transmission with redux boxes,,, bet yours would also function in a vehicle. _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

Internally there is no difference in an industrial engine. Put a new breather, gland nut, valve covers and probably the heater "shoe boxes" and it will work fine.
I would recommend splitting the case and make sure everything is Ok inside the engine. It it has been sitting for a long time, especially in a damp location lots of bad things could be going on inside. _________________ Chris

OK Thanks
I have a "spare" Engine with all the tinwork, and carb and dizzy, i will use thise parts. Unfortuntly someome has welded the glandnut to the flywheel on the spare engine.
So I guess i will have to buy one new
Anyway it turnsover nicely and have compression, but i think i will open it up and take a look anyway. |

I've go one of these too running in my oval. Its very close in number to your engine 122-036606. Have you any idea of what year and bhp your engine is? |
