Hey, can anyone tell me what these keys are for?
On the upper row there's "339" on it...
What profile and what year?

Bottom Right looks like an SG code (1954-57)

The bottom Left marked Neiman is for a locking column. I have the same key on my Swedish 1956 Kabriolett

P-profile was used on the ignition portion of Pre ‘52 Beetles & Pre ‘55 Bus

I think 1953-57 Beetle glove box locks also used a P-profile

I think A ended in '50 sometime, then they went to P. But I'm not an expert. The A keys are the ones completely flat on one side, and A blanks are getting real hard to find. I paid $100 each for the last few that I bought. I think there is another non VW key that has the same profile as the VW A but is longer. If you take your time, you can grind them down to the proper length. Beetlekey (Marcus) know the answer, and I would like to know exactly when they went from A to P too, as I restore speedo pods.

Yes, I don't exact the year range but they definitely did for at least '54-'56

Top right is certainly 'A' profile, I have a repro without the VW emblem from Marcus (beetlekey) for our '46 although I don't know the heritage of the ignition lock except that it was supplied original in a large knob dash panel.

A was used up to Dec 31, 1951. Your top right key is an A.
P stared on Jan 1, 1952

P started with split dash cars, continuing through zwitters and was used for all 1953 ovals (to Dec 31, 1953).

The switch from A to P happened on the same day for Bus. But Bus used the P key up to Feb 28, 1955.

The top left key isn't a P. A P has two grooves on one side, and one on the other. Besides, that key is stamped with an R, so it's probably an OEM key for some other German car from the olden days.

The bottom right is for shift locks and steering locks.
Shift lock, Jan 1, 1957 to Nov 30, 1959
Steering lock, Mar 1, 1954 to Dec 31, 1957
