I had some snap-crackle-pop noises coming from the passenger side of my VW thing. It turned out to be my rear axle bearings.

Definitely sounds like transaxle issue or throw-out bearing

Yeah it's coming from the right side only. The tranny sounds like if I was driving it in reverse.
