Dang, a bus will hold at least a 12 ft tree inside and can carry an even larger on on the roof. Why are you guys going so small?  |

We are off to the local National Forest to hunt down our tree for this years' solstice celebration. It's always fun to traipse around the woods looking for that perfect tree!
We're not christian, but we do enjoy that late December feeling of the earth straining to turn around the solstice corner, and the anticipation of longer days coming back.

This was our Christmas card a few years ago, also introducing our son who was 3 weeks old at the time

Funny story about that too.....
The day we were taking the picture, we were having issues with trees reflecting in the windshield too much, grandma pulled the baby off the tire, and we backed out of the driveway to face the other direction. A car coming down my street got about 3 houses down and slammed on their brakes and 2 women, who definitely had not run in a LOOOONG time, came out waving frantically at us. We just gave them a friendly wave back and turned around, but gave us a big laugh to each other.

As I scrolled down, at first I saw the cat and didn't go far enough to notice the baby. I thought, "oh geeze, the cat is their baby!" ha ha
I know this belongs in another forum, but here is my pic from the tree lot last weekend. It was one of the few days left where it was warm enough to drive that car! (I don't currently have a top or windows...)
