Looking for any information on getting a wider track on the Thing.
I'm investigating the possibility of getting the front tires and rear tires clear of the wheel wells with the fenders off. If these "mods" can be returned to original configuration, then that's preferable.
I tried a search but either there isn't any info out there or I didn't use appropriate search terms.
Thanks,

The off road guys often widen the front beam. You can buy them built that way so you don’t have to chop up the stock beam.
Haven’t seen it done in the rear without some pretty major suspension changes, aside from spacers as mentioned above. |

Im playing with fabing up some tube fenders. This should fix everything as far as wheel clearence in the front as well as not having the arguments with CHP Popo about not having fenders. Been down that road to many times with the 32 and Model A. Everything gets fenders now. Will be adding spacers in the front as well.

To widen the car will cost $ arms, axles, fender, the list goes on. they work well stock. if set up correctly they will go all kinds of places _________________ It's not the size of your shop, it's what comes out of it that counts.
