These U.S. Wheels - 15" x 7" were found by my older brother on Craigslist in the summer. I made a trade with him last month and now they will be going on my '71 Super. Gotta figure out the spacing and such, but I absolutely love the look. Already mounted 175-65-15 on them, and just got my extended lug bolts. Hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow to mount them all and check fitment, specially in the front.

What y'all think?

Wheels look like a nice match with car, but fitment looks bad. Unless you like tire rub. Not sure if a set of Bus Snubbers would help.

You could narrow the rear end as well. The arms below will net you 1". You also need to locate short side axles from an automatic type III.
I went a little farther with mine and got and 1-5/16 on each side with some machine work to the rotors and relocation of the brake caliper.

cool wheel, but totally wrong offset for a super, if the rears look like that , the fronts will be worse. New wider fenders, or pass them off to someone else. Supers need a high offset like porsche wheels +50et for proper fit.

Missed the Super Beetle part. Yeah, the front will be farther out than the rear and there's not much to do about it up front.

Roll the fenders and negative camber if possible, 3-4* might get them to tuck? Might have to drop back to 155 or 165 width tires up front. I did this when I swapped wheels on my Festiva; they stuck out about one inch; after with rolling/pulling the fenders and -3.5 camber they now fit without rubbing. Handles much better with the added camber too. Tire wear won't really be an issue if you run zero toe.

Edit- lowering it will add a little bit of negative camber in the rear, and shorter sidewall tires will help them fit better. It'll drive better with shorter tires as well. I found this pic after a quick google search, I love the look.
