I bought a set of VW seats today off craigslist, and the seller threw in a tub of parts along with it.
One part was this long rod with a hook at one end and a small 90 degree bend at the other. Any idea what this is for?

Looks like an inner door release rod from here, without measurements I can't guess what it's for.

I agree- door pull rod.

You stole those seats Steve. I've always thought the right red interior looks great in a blue car- perhaps you can start an opposite trend?

nah, there's a reason when you google "red car with blue interior" absolutely nothing comes up except the OPPOSITE, blue car with red interior. Plenty of examples of those, but not one of what I did. It really doesn't work at all... but there's always black vinyl spray paint

Yes, they were out of a 68, so they fit my 69 rails perfectly, AND are the correct style with the early wider headrest. Only problem is the color combo... Sick

Laughing

Honestly I think my black door cards are making them look way worse than they would if the door cards were a matching blue, or even white.

I wish I still had photoshop...
