So whilst I've been thinking about which wheels to use for a 4-lug '69 cabrio, I decided to replace the plain baby moon hubcaps - which looked nice;
...to a Wolfsburg-logo'd nipple set;
I know wheels are a terribly personal thing, but they really do make or break the car.
I really like this look (and so do VW they've aped it with their new beetle wheels!)
Now that has made wifey think the wheels are here to stay, but I can't decide whether to opt for a set of 914 / 2 litre 4-lugs
or mess with an adaptor plate and get a set of fuchs repros....??

Definitely Porsche 2 liters! Take the time to find an OG set, much lighter and stronger than aftermarket. They are still affordable if you take you're patient. 10 years from now they will be out of most peoples price range, just my prediction, but if its like anything else that came bolted onto a Porsche I should be right. _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

Looks good as it is; of course, I really like nipples !!!
Your choice if you want to change entire wheels, not really my "thing". The only reason my 1971 Convertible has mags is I got them and tires used back in late 1970s for a nice price.
