can anyone help me with information on the differences on early 6V starters such as split window era? was there obvious visual differences in a 25 HP and 36 HP starter? Were the solenoids different from year to year, and what markings should I be looking for (besides date code obviously)? do the markings such as the "0.5 6L44...." etc, etc, vary on early years?
i'm looking specifically for a 1946 to 1948 starter and I'm trying to educate myself on how to identify it....
Any information is appreciated. thank you all. |
