I park my Weekender outside and at the bottom of our long and quite steep driveway. Temperatures have been in the minus zeros. Should I be doing any extra warming up before I put it in gear to head up that cold, slippery hill? Our last place had a long steep driveway, but it was downhill so I never thought about it.

I'm no pro, but it surely can't hurt to give it some warmup time. Old seals can become more brittle in extreme cold and the fluid will be a bit more viscous which can make for harder shifts.

Something like a 5 minute warmup in the deep freeze conditions makes sense to me. I do this on my manual transmission cars.

On drive off, drive it like Miss Daisy for the first 5 minutes too.
