I need to replace my front seats; high back seats would be best. The thing shop has a direct replacement high back seats that look original. Does anyone have experience with replacing their front seats with aftermarket seats? How easy was it to adapt? Pictures?

There is a sticky at the top on the subject. 71-72 bug/super high back seats are a direct slide in-aftermarket you have a ton of options as well.

I purchased my Thing with aftermarket PROCAR seats from SCAT that were installed by a previous owner. At first I was not very happy about not having the original seats but these have grown on me and I now have no plans to replace them.
I model that I have installed are the P90 in black vinyl which matches the back seat quite well. They sell a very wide variety seat adapters that are specifically designed to the car that will mate their seats to the OEM mounting points/tracks. They do sell adapters specific for the Thing (81384/81385). Just make sure that you order a left and right seat and a left and right mounting adapter. _________________ '74 Thing
