You are really moving along. I am trying to figure out from your photos how much of the original bodywork was removed to make the camper conversion. It seems I keep seeing more and more of these rv/caravan type conversions and it has got me thinking. I could never cut up a good bus, but it seems a good project for a rusty bus with an otherwise decent frame. More pictures of what's underneath the camper construction would be much appreciated. Good luck with your project. I am enjoying watching your progress. |

Many thanks.
Today we strupped the alcove.
I need a new Front frame without a window.
That is more waterproof in the rain 🙂

Can you explain the section that goes between the top of bus cab and the bottom of the front alcove? Is it 2 fiberglass sections? It looks like the center of roof above the front seats is cutout and replaced with a piece that acts like a headliner; then another section that fills the outer gap between the cab and the alcove. Also it seems to have metal supports as well.
Does that aluminum "U" channel run along the whole length of the roof line? If so what is the wall thickness of that channel?
Are you doing this as a personal project or as a job? You are speeding thru this is it is just a personal one. _________________ 76 Bay - 2056 Type four |
