if youve already got the beam out of the bus, its really not that much work to just pull and clean them, its actually pretty easy. but as lil-jinx suggests, if you are worried you can just get the majority of the grease out by only going halfway on each side.

the swing lever (i think i mention that in my thread) is also pretty easy to do if you use the press made out of threaded rod and a bunch of sockets. Tcash and Colin both have really good writeups on it.

I just look at your thread, my son show it to me a while back. My son is hook on vw’s too We just hope we get more garage time but with work and school time is very limited.

finally i can say I'm done with the front end.the most valuable lesson learn during this rebuilt.... Don't buy nothing that say Made in China Very Happy
