I picked up this baja bug a few weeks ago. This is my first VW I have owned. Working on getting it road worthy

I’d be curious to see what they did with the oil cooler.

Looks like they installed an auxiliary one just above and ahead of the carb air cleaner... can't imagine airflow though it would be very good.

So while I wait to get my new tires I decided to make a custom center cap for my rear wheels. I wanted to keep some of the original design of the original center cap. I drew up a sketch and then created 3D Model and then 3D Printed it. Very happy with the way it looks on the wheel.

Nicely done on the center caps.
Have you thought of a name for the Purple Beast? If you had that up here in the great white north I know several Vikings fans that would love it.

interesting work on the hubcaps.

However, my very long standing reaction to those photos is " Ugh! Narrow Eye" - I've owned and driven "wide-eye" (headlights on the fenders) style Baja Bugs ever since 1990, and I at no point was I ever tempted to "go narrow" as shown above.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

Cool baja in pic!

Narrow or wide I like them both. To each their own
