Hi All
I just purchased some Clear LED Halo Light 7" Headlamp w/ H4 Lamps for my 70 bus, from Jbugs. Having real issues trying to fit the headlight trim back over. Has anyone experienced this, and if so got any suggestions?

Thank you

I do not have experience with those exact units, but I have had experience throwing similar LED headlamp conversion kits in the garbage, if that counts.

Genuine Hella H4 housings are still available, around $100 for both without bulbs. But since JBugs does not offer returns on electrical items, you might want to take your best educated guess at where the chrome ring is contacting the housing, and evenly coat the inside of the surrounding ring with liquid car wax. Immediately instal the ring, until it puts up a fight, then remove it c a r e f u l l y. The headlamp housing will show a little wax where it was interfering. Take your clean microfiber cloth and finish waxing the inside of your chrome rings, rejoicing in such a little act of kindness to your car. Make sure that each has a drain hole on the bottom, while you're at it. A 1/8" drill bit works nicely. I would use a Dremel-type tool with a grinding wheel to "encourage" the new parts to do their thing.

Good luck,
Robbie

all those goofy aftermarket headlights are usually questionable, they usually have no beam pattern

cibie (or hella) h4 + philips xtreme ultinon led h4 = this is what baby jesus runs on his buses

asiab3 your technique and prose are just wonderful
