1776 Specs and Performance Questions

And all this is well and good, but tune is equally important. We picked up 20 HP at the crank on a mild 1776 with jetting. I don't know what cam was in it, but there was a set up the better Mofoco heads (big valve). If staying with the Kads, do some research. There are a couple little things that need to be done.

This car came in with 132 mains and we ended up with 137.5s. If the engine is tuned well and you have a reasonably light foot with a regular car, you should get upper 20s without much effort. This car was a Baja (big tires) and I am pretty sure he still gets at least 25.....
