I've always said these things have a way of multiplying in my garage much to my wife's dismay. It seems like I can never have less than two for any length of time.
Currently:
1965/1966 type 1 semi daily driver
1964 type 1 sunroof car, currently not running but I have a 0 mile engine waiting to get installed.
Although I find myself browsing the classified from time to time.. |

I call them Pringles cars...you can't have just one.
My other VW buddies (and their wives) are finding that out too. My wife gave up decades ago. I've had 2-4 at one time for 15 years. Always looking for another one too. |

If I had the space I'd be well into double figures. 4 is my max at the moment but now my son wants one of his own! |

Just the 2 in my signature line.
Now that the '83 300CD and '89 190E 5 speed Mercedes have gone away, the Midgets are next, after getting the one in boxes re-assembled.
Always wanted a 914....but I need a winter driver. Cannot quite bring myself to claim a 914 for winter duty. _________________ my59: Well son, my grandfather died before I got to drive it, so does that answer your question?

Have to have at least two (I'd get another, maybe a bus or ghia but my wife would want a second car and she won't settle for anything but new!).
Since my ACVWs are the only cars I drive, I had to have two so that I can work on one and still get around. I live in NY and take my '62 to Delaware every few months where I have townhouse I rent out. It also ferries around my 4 year old grandson. The '66 doesn't have working heat (need to replace the heat exchangers) so I only use it on reasonably warm days. _________________ '62 T1 rag top.

I’m still trying to convince my wife we “need” to find someplace with an out building. My signature would become exponentially longer if we did. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

I moved in July. Went from a 3 car garage to another 3 car garage, but the other house was a tiny garage. No room to move around or work without moving one car out and whichever you're working on in the middle. New garage I can work on my cars where they sit and have plenty of extra room for tool boxes and storage. And the new house has a place out back to build an extra garage once I get my other house sold. All part of the master plan to add more VWs!!!!! Shhhh, don't tell my wife. I'm slow rolling the idea incrementally. Thinking Vert bug, thing, ghia, and square back...and bus. |

Dude, your 62 Sunroof car is sweet!!! Slick mirror black paint...awesome car!!! I've got a 62 Sunroof, but it's not near that nice. Glad to see such a nice car being used, enjoyed, and taken care of. Your grandkids will remember their trips in it with great fondness. |

Only 3.
The Dormy, a '65
The Bug, a '70
The Plump Truck, a 68
All 3 in the Garaj Mahal
Old stable.
The Old bus which eventually fell apart and had to be cut up.
Had this sweet thing for a while, a '55 F-100 pickemup truck. Sold it and bought the walkthrough bus then turned it into the Dormy.

I currently have 2 Beetles, a '57 near stock and a '64 turned into a Berry Mini-T buggy.
Thinking about it, I have owned 1 or 2 aircooled VWs continuously since 1987. It has been quite a few different ones over the years. All have been Type 1 between '57 and '64 except for a '79 SB 'vert for a couple of years. _________________

5 Current. One other was my first at 15 years old. I got right in her and we fell in love.
