^ that does look pretty cool actually, but I think would look better without the roof roofrack as that's a bit of overkill imho!

Are they available to purchase anywhere please?

I bought one of these myself from NLA VW, and at the moment I am sanding down the hardwood slats, as I didn't like the very red teaky colour.

I have got them back to a nice plain wood finish, and will eaither use a good few coats of teak oil, or maybe some Rustins Ebony wood dye, and make them black.
The Rack itself is currently with the Aerocoat guys in Suffolk, and waiting for Sea Blue L360 powder to get the rack coated in the car colour, as they didn't quite have that shade of blue on the shelf.

I won't bother with a roof rack, and I'll post photo's when it's fitted.

I know it's not a Jim Dandy original or the Empi style, but even to find one of those would be a miracle, and would possibly cost the neck end of £2.5-3k ?? which is a non starter. But if it looks good, it can carry extra junk to a meet/show ( Cool Box, Deck chairs etc ) I'll be happy

Just fitted the luggage rack
Had it powder coated Sea Blue, and sanded down all the wooden slats, and gave them a couple of coats of Ronseal teak oil
I think you either love it or hate it, but I like it
