I'm trying to find out when (year & month) the attached 1963 Beetle Cabrio featured in the Hot VW magazine. I'm the new owner of this car and would like to know some of its history by buying the relevant back issue.

I've looked at the Hot VW website and gone through all the front pages but its not there; without more info the magazine staff at this point in time can't identify the issue either.

Was that the car built by Paul Smoot & owned by Steve Raaf?

Besides Hot VWs, it was also featured in Ultra VWs

Looks like rear axle pass side might be bent or broken.

I’ve got a small and scattered collection of mags. Any idea what decade this car was featured? (90’s, 00’s, 10’s)?
