Yes, the Beetle looks like a Hörndlein without clockwork and key hole.

Do you have a Hörndlein without a clockwork, but with a keyhole and a slot in the rear, without a lever, Bob? I have read in the book of JiJ Schroeder, that this model exist, but I can't believe it. |

Hi Nicki, you wrote "Do you have a Hörndlein without a clockwork, but with a keyhole and a slot in the rear, without a lever, Bob?
I have read in the book of JiJ Schroeder, that this model exist, but I can't believe it." Nicki, I do not have this one but could be true
as there is a photo of it in the book . . . . . There are only 6 known examples of the FH-126 with no motor, no key hole and
no brake lever opening. . . . . BTW, this damaged FH-126 recently sold on German eBay for 349 Euros

Hi Bob,
I believe that there were only 2 versions of the Hörndlein produced. The version with clockwork, keyhole and start / stop lever at the rear.
The second version has no clockwork, no keyhole and no lever in the rear.
In the book by JiJ Schroeder, the third version is written, which has no clockwork, no lever, but a keyhole and the slot in the rear for the lever. A Hörndlein is shown from behind, where you can see the slot for the lever, but no lever.
In my opinion it could also be a Hörndlein that originally had a lever. A look at the base plate would be interesting. But that's not shown in the book.
I bought the Hörndlein on eBay.

As it's a discussion of a toy in one of the photos, it shall be allowed.
