I have a 70's vintage am/fm stereo Blaupunkt radio that I'm considering installing in my 1966 type 1 (12 volt converted). I am having a great deal of difficulty finding the proper speaker connectors for the unit since it didn't come with any of the wiring. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find any connectors, or perhaps how to mock something up that would work. They are the small DIN spade and pin type. |

Interweb search is your go to on the connections to the radio. May need larger connections to speaker(s) _________________ my59: Well son, my grandfather died before I got to drive it, so does that answer your question?

I use these bullet-style crimp connectors to attach speaker wires to my vintage Blaupunkt Frankfurt radios but I solder them onto the wires instead of crimping. You can get them at most any hardware store.

Solder is used to seal a mechanical connection not be the mechanical connection. Crimp and then solder. Take the plastic off first. _________________ Daily driver: '69 Baja owned 44 yrs - Plan B: '81 Rabbit Diesel LS Deluxe - Plan C: '72 Ghia

They are called "2-pin DIN" and was very common as speakers conectors for home stereo equipment in europe back in the days. You can still find them at almost every electronics store. Today they are mostly used for low voltage garden/ christmas lightning. You should be able to find them cheap if you Google or eBay search "2pin DIN"
